SheMed named a winner of TechRound's HealthTech44 2026
SheMed has been named a winner of TechRound's HealthTech44, ranking 27th in the publication's first-ever list of standout health technology companies.
TechRound launched HealthTech44 in 2026 as an expansion of its previous MedTech38 campaign, inviting startups, scale-ups and SMEs from across the health and medical technology sector to be considered for the list. Judging was led by Dr Stuart Grant, Founder of Archetype MedTech and a Chartered Engineer with a PhD in Medical Device Technology and Innovation.
What the judges said
Commenting on SheMed's inclusion, Dr Stuart Grant said:
"There's a genuinely interesting differentiation point here for an online pharmacy focused on women's health and weight loss: at-home blood testing, ongoing clinical monitoring and a real clinical team wrapped around the prescription itself, rather than just dispensing medication. That layer of personalised care and community is harder to copy than the pharmacy model alone, which sits behind a GPhC-registered partner and CQC-registered clinical services."
Why this recognition matters
SheMed was built to give women a weight loss pathway that goes beyond a prescription in the post. Every patient journey includes at-home blood testing, ongoing review from a dedicated clinical team, and access to a GPhC-registered pharmacy partner and CQC-registered clinical services throughout treatment. Being singled out by a judging panel with this level of medtech and product development expertise is a strong external validation of that approach.
The competition was TechRound's first HealthTech44, and the field was competitive. Ranking 27th places SheMed among the companies the judges felt were genuinely shaping the direction of health technology this year.
